International Space Camp

International Space Camp 2010 à Huntsville, Alabama, USA
Crée en 1990, l'International Space Camp (ISC) a pour but de promouvoir la coopération internationale dans le domaine de l¹éducation des sciences et techniques spatiales. Chaque année plus de 30 pays sont invites à sélecter une délégation d'un professeur et de deux élèves (un garçon et une fille entre 15 et 18 ans) pour participer pendant une semaine à ce camp spatial exceptionnel. La participation au camp est entièrement gratuite. Chaque année l'Euro Space Society s'efforce de trouver du sponsoring pour le voyage.
En 2010 la délégation est francophone.
 
L'ISC se tient à Huntsville, Alabama, USA du vendredi 23 au vendredi 30 juillet 2010.
La sélection des participants aura lieu par un jury présidé par l'astronaute Dirk Frimout le 15 avril 2010.

Happy New Year! U.S. SPACE CAMP® in Huntsville, Alabama is making preparations for International SPACE CAMP® (ISC) 2010, with great hopes and expectations for another successful year.
 
International SPACE CAMP is scheduled from Saturday, July 24 – Thursday, July 29, 2010.  Participation will include one male and one female student and one educator from each of the invited countries.
 
ISC participants are to arrive in Huntsville, Alabama on Friday, July 23, 2010.  Both the student and educator programs will begin Saturday, July 24.  The traditional Parade of Nations, Opening Ceremony, and Welcome Dinner will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday.  International and U.S. educators attending SPACE ACADEMY® for Educators and international students attending ADVANCED SPACE ACADEMY® will participate in a comprehensive educational program designed to promote interest in space science and exploration as well as global cooperation.  The students’ graduation ceremony from the program will be on Friday, July 30 at 4p.m.  The educators’ graduation ceremony is on Thursday, July 29 at 6 p.m.  Departure arrangements should be made for Saturday July 31, 2010, early morning.
 
Each country will determine the method of selection and will be responsible for selecting their representatives.  Transportation to and from the home country, as well as temporary health insurance must be arranged and provided by the participant or selection agency.  The cost of tuition, food, and lodging during the program will be provided by the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.
 
Please keep in mind that all delegates must be fluent in the English language in order to participate effectively in the program.  Students must be between the ages of 15 and 18 at the time of the program.  This is very important as our programs are age based.
